7 Steps for how to make Amlou-Recipe

 

1: In a pan add the almonds and the salt. Heat up the pan prior to use. The amount of salt depends on an individual’s taste. The purpose is to give the almonds a light salty dusting and a beautiful crunchy flavor.

 

2: Mix the almonds in the salt until you can smell the nutty aroma and almonds have changed to brighter brown in color. 

 

3: Move the almonds in a sieve to get rid of any excess salt and give a good shake. 

 

4: Once the almonds have cooled down, place them in a blender or food processor. The powerful the blender, the smoother the Amlou’s texture would be. Process the almonds as fine as possible.

    I found this article very informative and interesting. I often struggle to find all the information on one page and I was glad to read this page. I have tried Amlou in the past, I find it amazingly rich, full of goodness and ticking the healthy box at the same time. A good start of the day, all in one jar. Nectarome is one of my favorite as you can taste the nutty flavors with the tasty argan oil. I have however, never tried making it, can you please recommend a good Argan oil? Many thanks in advance.
